Mazama Sport Climbing

This is a limited edition run guide book for sport climbing in the upper Methow Valley written by Bryan Burdo.  The original version was Mazama Rock published in 2008.  This updated version was published in April 2019 and includes all of the new and updated routes at Fun Rock, the Goat Wall, Fire Wall, and Prospector.  The Flyboys miniguide is included with the book. The book is 83 pages and is in black and white.  This book does not include the Matrix & Europa miniguide or the Mazama Granite miniguide which are sold separately on this site.  Get Mazama Sport Climbs while they last!  Note: page 55 with the hand drawn topo for Prime Rib is blurry.  Page 56 has a photograph with the Prime Rib Route.  Bryan apologizes for the printing issue!

For all visiting climbers: please do not camp or stay overnight in your van at the parking for Flyboys/Prime Rib.  The heavy use has created a human waste problem along the majestic Methow River.

There is free camping/overnight parking with a toilet near the TH at Yellow Jacket SnoPark 3 miles west of the Prime Rib parking or at the Goat Creek  SnoPark 2 miles east of Mazama (parking area for the Matrix crag).  There are also disbursed sites with a toilet near the West Fork Methow TH just past the River Bend campground on the Hart’s Pass Rd.
